Phanes India founded in 1992 by Mr. Pankaj Debnath (an
Indian) with a clear vision to bring our rural handicrafts, Kantha-Woven, Hand
Block Printing cloths, traditional clothes, and culture in front of our Indian
urban market. In 2013, Bapi Debnath son of Mr. Pankaj Debnath took ownership
with a broader vision to keep alive our Indian tradition and culture bring it
to the younger generation. After taking experience, in 2013 started an organic
dye, hand block printing unit, and hand-woven work. Meanwhile, he worked with
rural workers to get further experience in Dye, Hand Block, and Hand-Woven
Work. And later on, he had created an opportunity to show their skills on a
large scale and helped them to grow on a large scale and now many of them are
doing their creative work with well-known handicraft companies. And also
associated with us. After all, as an Indian, it is also our younger
generation's responsibility to keep alive the culture and this tradition.
